We have all seen them, the irritating "Most Interesting Man In The World"{I thought that was Bill Clinton} From Flo acting like a "four letter word you can't say on TV", The Gieco Lizard dancing in Texas(Spare Us Please!) Those pathetic/lame State Farm Commercials,,,,No,,I Bit My Tounge!!
What ever happened to Originality in Commercials? is it that hard to spend another 24 hours to work on a more humorous script?
Why wont Geico and Progressive drop the lizard and flo already! God, they are considered some of the worst commercials ever.
Thank God For Remote Controls !!!!
So just curious, what commercials make you crunge and/or switch the channel in 0.8 seconds?

And just wanna add, I am supposed to meet with some local producer here in Naples, he is letting anyone come to his studio to pitch their idea for a reality show. He wants to see me in particular, he loves my idea for a "News Reality" show. I was supposed to see him today,,,but he's still too busy,,,,but in relation to the crappy commercials, I can write a much better script than the 10 yr olds some producers hire. I can write some of the funniest news casts, they are impossible to read with a straight face!

Originality is all but gone from many things you see on a screen. Marketers decide what's produced and shown to the public, and they ride the horse of whatever is "in" till it's dead.

The same problem is producing all the shitty movie remakes over the last several years.

Originality is risky when it involves replacing a winning(profitable) formula.

God I hope my news reality show hits the airways someday, I should be writing for some advertising company, but then again, I dont wanna live in any big city, but I am working on a pilot to present to an agent here,,,,will keep u guys posted on what happens with it.
