I picked up a CZ 455 import (Navy Arms) last Saturday....It was the varmint version with a .920 barrel.
It had been cut/threaded to 17.5" but the thread pitch was 1/2 X 20 as opposed to the 1/2 X 24 here in the US so I had to use an adaptor to use my can.....Looked liked boiled assholes.
As the CZ 455's barrels are interchangeable I did some research and opted for a 18" Acculite barrel threaded 1/2 X 24. It's a sleeved barrel....A steel .22 liner surrounded by an aluminum casing.
It arrived and installed without a hitch....I also changed out the scope.
Man what a difference weight/balance-wise it made! I wanted to set it up as a squirrel killer so it worked out really well for me.
It shoots just plain lights-out too! I sight hunting .22s in at 37 yards and it produced one ragged hole groups.
