I picked this one up today, it's in great shape.
It's just the plain Jane version but there's not a mark on it. First year production.
Oddly enough they used a forged steel receiver instead of the "mystery metal" receivers of their .30-30 bigger brothers of the same era.
I wanted to use a little Browning scope I pulled off a Browning T-Bolt on it as they make for nicely proportioned .22 L/A scopes....Redfield made them for Browning back in the day.
Sadly I had to remove the rear sight to use it but I just stuck a dovetail filler in the slot and bagged-up the rear sight and put it away.
