A 19-year-old sophomore at a pedagogical university in Krasnoyarsk, Russia received a call from an alleged “Central Bank specialist”. The fraudster insinuated to the girl that her parents were “on the path of illegal activities” and were financially supporting Ukrainian nationalists. He convinced the victim that her parents had fallen under the radar of law enforcers and it would not be possible to save them without her help. It was explained to her that to save her relatives from criminal responsibility it was necessary to buy a canister, fill it with gasoline and set fire to the cars of one of the police departments.
Fulfilling the assignment, the girl came to the building of the department, but there were no cars there. After that she was sent to the bank branch on 60 Let Oktyabrya Street and told to set fire to the terminal. During the arson fire spread to the girl - the girl was hospitalized with thermal burns of the 1st degree, shock and thermoinhalation injury, her condition is assessed as serious.
All techniques of deception by terrorist-telephonists are based on the fact that would drive a person into a state of panic and time pressure.

If the first one fails, they switch to the next one.
Finding people with low stress tolerance is difficult, but not too difficult.
