Democrats…that’s where it went.

Lol, all gone to the friends of democratic party politicians who run these non profits. They pay themselves huge salaries and funnel the rest into other non profits that are simply flush funds for the same leftist politicians.

Children learning that Santa Claus isn't real handle it better than adults learning that "good causes" aren't real.

This could have been done so easily, if one central agency was in charge of distribution, but instead the money is distributed to all these non-profits, with how much oversight? How can these non-profits be trusted? Are they vetted?

This is incredible, really, $100 million dollars could really benefit people, yet they have received nothing? Caifornia always seems to **** these things up. SMH.

This will be seen as another example of how Newsom, when it comes to handling situations, doesn't measure up as someone who can meet the moment.

It has nothing to do with Newsom or the California legislature. This was a private event put on by organizers not connected to the state government, to my knowledge from the video.

$100 million dollars in revenue needs a third party to watch over it and distribute it transparently. The problem is when handed millions, these "charities" decide to pay their own bills, and put the rest in the cash drawer.

I forgot. That's true. The money went to the Anneberg Foundation, a group that's known to fund liberal political groups and causes. So, this is going to be right up there with BLM. Lots of money given to an organization, but people start asking where the money went and they can't find how or what it did to help the supposed victims in question.

The DemoKKKrats and their supporters are only good at two things: laundering money, and trafficking people.

I'm just curious. Where's the outrage over this from Newsom? Mayor Bass? CA members of Congress? It seems that the CA Senate just voted to approve LA to buy land affected by the fire to build some low-income housing. Could it be that that was in the works all along and giving the victims money to rebuild their homes would've been a problem?

They need to start asking questions and asking for receipts.

The problem is not as much rebuilding afordable housing (many would say that's part of the solution) but the real issue is the cost of housing in California. It's out of control. What are the drivers behind this? If it gets this out of control, should the government mandate price controls? I think the government has caused this problem, should they try and undo it?

That would probably cause you some serious consternation if Newsom tried that, huh?
