Thanks Annie. After debating this the last three days, I am convinced that 90% of it (the debate) is that tension between those who really do want the security of a 'nanny state' versus those who think the price of that is too high.

Thanks Annie. Much appreciated, and you're right that they won't get it. At least not yet. We can hope that we will put in another group of Republicans (or somebody--I really don't care who it is) with the vision and integrity of that conservative coalition in 1994. If we do, a lot of people who don't get it now will see what can be accomplished with vision, integrity, and a willingness to do what's right, not necessarily what is politically expedient.
