    thanks you. the name "amhic" in Ireland comes after the Christian name. i.e. Tomamhic, Johnamhic. amhic (pronounced "avic" so Tomavic)) it is Gaelic for "my son" Tom my son or sonny. My Grandmother called me that from I was a child.
