    Goodbye Poor Japan...

Checking in, it's 2017 and we're about three years into this abandoned Tokyo thing you were harping on. So I have two questions for you: 1. Any updates on the mass evacuation you spoke of? 2. Do you feel as stupid as everyone else reading this thread thinks you look? Silhouette

    Goodbye Poor Japan...

So you want x-rays from kids in Tokyo, and these would be the kids you said were being evacuated two years ago, from the city you said was gone three years ago. Wow that burden of proof sure shifted over time, we went from an empty dead city to x-rays.

    Goodbye Poor Japan...

Hello crazy person! I'll be swinging through Tokyo again shortly so I thought it was time to revisit your thread started almost three years ago about how it is gone. Do you have any further information on how the evacuation is coming? Surely after three years I can expect an empty city right...

Jobless Claims in U.S. Fall to Match Lowest Level Since 1973

Or it was a peak year, which makes no more sense to use than does a valley year for setting a baseline. Whenever I see a source using an exact peak or valley year instead of a more conversationally natural 10 years ago, 20 years ago, whole number etc. it sets off red flags that they have an...

Jobless Claims in U.S. Fall to Match Lowest Level Since 1973

Nope. 15 years earlier it was at 7.8%. Ten years earlier it was at 5%. Five years earlier it was at 5.7%. Only a fool or a liar would claim the previous 15 years were at about 4.5%.

Jobless Claims in U.S. Fall to Match Lowest Level Since 1973

While I get your point, why would you randomly choose such an odd year to make a point?

SeaRAM, a more capable CIWS system than Phalanx that fits in same footprint and shares many components. SeaRAM has a longer engagement range, is far more effective against high speed cruise missiles with terminal maneuvering, and greatly reduces the notoriously high maintenance hours of Phalanx...

Jobless Claims in U.S. Fall to Match Lowest Level Since 1973

When politics is more important than common sense, conclusions like the one your point out are commonly reached.

In our current state, I say screw the free market

Depends on the industry. Labor in manufacturing is probably a lot lower component of cost than at Google.

The economy is recovering, the economy is recovering, the economy is recovering.

Gold in 1980 = $670/oz Gold in 2007 = $670/oz Gold in 2011 = $1,900/oz Gold in 2015 = $1,200/oz If gold reflects inflation then there was absolutely zero inflation over 27 years from 1980-2007, and we've had massive deflation over the last four years since 2011. Obviously neither of those is...

USMC F-35Bs declared ready for battle

Marines Declare F-35B Operational My initial thoughts on this was that the weapon load was limited since only Block 2B software, but if you think about it being able to deploy JDAMs and LGBs covers the overwhelming majority of what USMC pilots would gift to targets on the ground, and an F-35B...

China DF-5B liquid-fuel ICBM 'can hit any target on Earth'

Hah hah wow as many forums as there are available for shallow minded childish political comments you guys absolutely have to roll into the military forum to demonstrate you too can generate nonsensical political comments as a "contribution" to the thread. No wonder 67k+ messages.

More economic GOOD News...DOW hits new record..on track to hit 17K.

So let me get this straight... the recent stock market downturn can be directly attributed to the end of QE almost a year ago, even though the stock market has always gone up and down in response to all kinds of real (and rumored) world events? China's currency devaluation and (assumed)...
