In theory, yes. However, kids that young really don't yet grasp the importance of a good education. Hell, some people grow up never understanding that concept. If paying them off sets them on the right path, again, I don't see a problem. Both my kids are in college, so I guess it worked for me.

I don't know. I'm 40-something and I got a $1 for every I brought home. That was 35 years ago. I did the same for my kids and it seemed to work. I think it's a good idea. No harm, no foul.
