Doctor Gaius Baltar is a brilliant scientist, legally-elected President of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol, and, later, a revered religious figure for the remnants of humanity. Though not without his flaws, Baltar has acted selflessly and saved the Fleet on numerous occasions.
