Are health insurance carriers paying out to brokers/ agents after Obamacare?

My wife is a health insurance agent. She hasn't been paid commissions on plans she sold through the market place because the people never paid their premium.

    Actually paying for it

Says the guy who didn't even know what the essential benefits were. Says the guy that stated there were no federal mandates. After the repubs win the mid-terms this year (you heard it here first) ACA repeal will begin.

"The Obamacare implosion is worse than you think"

Premiums have doubled for individuals that buy plans off the exchange and make too much to qualify for plans on the exchange. The majority of this increase is due to the essential benefits that must be covered, no more lifetime benefit caps and no longer denying pre-existing conditions. The...

    Actually paying for it

Do you have proof of that? Yes, I do. My wife is a health insurance agent and sells for a dozen others besides BCBS. Between February and March 31 she has signed up 6 people on through the exchange system. Not one of them has paid their premium yet, since she hasn't received the commission...

    Actually paying for it

So who are all of these "other insurance companies" that are claiming 85% have paid for their policies on the exchange. The only proof you have is a claim by ONE insurance company in the Forbes link. “Across the Blue system, we are seeing payment from 80-85 percent of new exchange customers,

67% of all of those enrolled in health insurance through the exchange with all companies. Not just a few of them.

    Actually paying for it

Enrolling and paying are 2 different things. Recent CBS news article says only 67% of enrolled have actually paid their premiums.

Even The Healthy Can't Buy Insurance

They cost less than the mandated insurance plans. Just like the pre-aca plans they don't have to cover pre-existing conditions or a list of essential benefits. People can purchase a critical illness/major medical plan rider to cover pre-existing conditions if they want, but it's not mandatory...

Just type essential benefits coverage in Google. I don't have enough posts yet so this forum won't let me post links. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2

The next GOP scheme to manufacture Obamacare “horror stories”

The stories manufacturer themselves without any help from the GOP. Also 7 million signups but who has actually paid? That's something the administration hasn't released yet.

Even The Healthy Can't Buy Insurance

It's just a short term underwritten health plan. They cost less and are very similar to what was available before ACA kicked in. No maternity or essential benefits coverage among a few things.

Even The Healthy Can't Buy Insurance

I'm not an obamacare fan, but my wife sells health insurance for a living. So I know what I am talking about. Right now people can by short term underwritten health insurance plans that will carry them over to the next enrollment period in November.

Even The Healthy Can't Buy Insurance

Another misleading article and what a bunch of dumb insurance brokers cited in that article. Outside of the normal enrollment period, people can buy underwritten short term health insurance plans that will carry them over to the next enrollment period.
