thanks to everybody that commented on the story about my 2007 gmc. gmac has taken my truck and put another style of valve covers on the motor and has also replaced all the lifters on the drivers side of the motor. they said the valve covers were designed wrong and the oil was being pumped right...

update on 2007 sierra. changed oil on 7/30/2010 at 49996 miles. checked oil in september at 51270 miles, down 1/2 quart. checked oil again at 52232 miles,10/15/2010, it was down 2 quarts. on 10/18/2010, low oil light came on and had to add 1 quart. what am i to do??
