Metal was brilliant in the 80s, the 90s? Not so sure. But I just feel sorry for a certain generation who came of age in the 90s and 00s the music then hasn't stood the test of time
Us baby boomers had the greatest music in our generation, most genre's had its golden age, we had talents who peaked in our lifetime and actually went out and purchased albums and see them in concert.
So question, what are your thoughts on today's music?
I can see what you're saying, because their albums from Diamond Life - Stronger Than Pride is incredible, after the 80s the quality drop in music is insane (with a few exceptions).

Her 80s records were great but after that? Is 50/50, the last 3 records have some decent songs but they are mostly forgettable to me, still baffled that they sold well though.
For me, is from 1966-1974, brilliant artists during their peak James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Sly and The Family Stone, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Laura Lee, Curtis Mayfield, Mavis Staples etc.
