If he’s running away now, how do they know without a doubt he’s not coming back? By your own post siting South Carolina statute. It says that the victim has no obligation to retreat. Why doesn’t the code also say, once the perpetrator retreats, the victim is no longer in imminent danger?

Where does it say running away negates imminent threat?
