Cons say the government doesn't create jobs....

Which part? Government's useful and legitimate role is protecting our property rights. It can do this through courts functioning as arbitrators (without the absolute power of the current system), a police force solely empowered to investigate violation of and defend private property, a record...

Cons say the government doesn't create jobs....

A free market may or may not work without government protecting private property rights. But what YOU imagine to be "essentials" probably includes many things the government HARMS society by monopolizing, like education, water, hospitals, mail, currency, and roads. All of those things would be...

Cons say the government doesn't create jobs....

Let's be clear: The problem in Somalia isn't lack of government, it's TOO MUCH government. The parts of that country crippled by poverty and violence are the ones ruled by iron-fisted warlords. From a governmental power standpoint, they are a Liberal/socialist's wet dream, they simply aren't...

Cons say the government doesn't create jobs....

Infrastructure that our military, and economic terrorism (sanctions) destroyed in the first place. But the net result of that "nation building" has been a dozen-plus years of economic malaise in the US, plus local quality of life in Iraq and Afghanistan that are lower than before we started...

Cons say the government doesn't create jobs....

I wish that were true. The US military has absurdly grown. It needs to be restrained to an inflation-adjusted 2000 budget. This, as much as anything, would allow the US economy to grow more like it did in the nineties, when the dirty neocons lost their destructive grip on the budget for a decade.

Cons say the government doesn't create jobs....

No, YOU are like the Taliban, insofar as you want to force your own definition of education on them. Good Conservatives are against this, wanting people to be able to choose for themselves. A good Conservative wants people to be able to choose a Christian education, or atheist, or...

Cons say the government doesn't create jobs....

If I understand your slightly garbled statement, you're attempting to claim that the US educational system is not socialized. How, precisely, are you asserting this? What is your definition of "socialized", that does not include the government imposing an effective monopoly on an industry...

Cons say the government doesn't create jobs....

First, what you are saying doesn't change my point. That these things are necessary does not alter the fact that when those things are imposed by government-coerced funding, they each consume more than their number in private sector jobs. The broken window math is the same. Second, you are...

Cons say the government doesn't create jobs....

I know that people have been trying to explain this to the victims of socialized education for 63 pages now, but I'll give it a shot: Government does not add jobs to the economy. Each job it "creates" consumes somewhat more than one private sector job. So the more jobs government "creates", the...

    The Second American Revolution coming......

This was the same sort of timorous attitude expressed against Japan's ownership of our debt, in the 1970s and 80s...and it was wrong. In fact, Chinese ownership of our debt is to our advantage, leaving them almost helpless to do anything but behave as our economic allies, struggling...

    The Second American Revolution coming......

You realize that the Nazis were the National Socialist Worker's Party, right? Their platform was almost identical to that of Liberal Democrats, INCLUDING the attacks on "the wealthy", except that where the Democrats say "rich whites" the Nazis said "Rich Jews". Here's a quick rundown of...

    The Second American Revolution coming......

Just for the record, even though you posted a year ago: You are wrong. Ending a sentence, or phrase, with a "preposition" is perfectly valid. First, when it happens the "preposition" is usually a particle, helping a nearby verb, like "put up with". Second, you can even end a sentence...
