I once searched my ancestors. I talked with a LOT of our relatives. I went on Ancestry and that other one (what is it called?). Traced our heritage back to the 1500s. It was really quite amazing.

Have you checked a basic encyclopedia? An example is Britannica. You look up your entry. In this case, Iran. It starts with a summary and touches on various aspects. Those are people, culture, history, government, social life, natural stuff, and more.
