Capital punishment is sometimes employed as a form of leverage, exemplified by statements such as, “Give us what we want, or you’re going to death row with people who have nothing to lose.”

If individuals choose to fly with a pilot selected for reasons unrelated to their intelligence and skills, that is their prerogative. However, most people would likely avoid such risks. It is concerning that some continue to attribute these decisions to issues of race without substantive evidence.
