Perhaps we live in a time where young people feel free to pursue their lifelong goals is all. They feel a sense of freedom in that respect. In a nation that preaches the importance of working hard young couples are following that advice to make themselves a good life.
I see why young people are not procreating but instead getting dogs. My granddaughter has a house big enough for 6 kids, instead she has 4 golden and no kids.
Less birth control is not feasible. People are smarter than that. Many don't want kids and they are taking steps to avoid unwanted pregancies...good on them. It's a choice not a responsibility.
1) stay single until no earlier than 30
2) find a full time working spouse who earns 6 figures
3) work, save, invest, retire in one's 50s.
Perfect dream.
I can't argue that. The old ways are going by the wayside. People feel more free to pursue their wants. Societal pressure to marry and kids is waning and a growing number are ignoring it.
