Unfortunately, the days when a record company would let a band "develop" are long gone. If they don't sell 1.5 million albums the first time out, they're toast.

John wrote my favorite song ("I Am The Walrus"), but I think Paul would have been a much nicer person to be around.

For shear speed, I always thought John McLaughlin was amazing. Not to mention that his riffs are very distinctive and melodic.

Don't like a lot of music from the '90s, but if that's when Soundgarden came out with Black Hole Sun, that was great.
