They crashed in Canada but were out of Minnesota. I think I saw somewhere the lady flying the plane at the time was from South Dakota and had just qualified right before the crash.

They are building one just outside our city after which the city tripled the tax rate on data centers to keep them out of the actual city.

I oppose them because they consistently drive up the cost of electricity for customers in the surrounding community who have to subsidize the data center's infrastructure and/or consumption. Other than that, I would be okay with them building one literally right beside my property. At least...
