Fine but you're saying that the process is basically you register and then boom you're in bootcamp with a rifle and ammo. Recruits only have rounds when they are at the rifle range which is over halfway through the bootcamp experience. You don't show up at the depot and they hand you an M-4...

You register for the draft via an SSN. There is no vetting process. It’s just a name on a list. It’s frankly odd that there is some separate process to build the draftable list. The Us government already has it at the SSA.

There is no background check to register for the draft. There is also no id requirement. Registration for selective service doesn’t put you in boot camp. WTF are you babbling about?

We could automatically vote for people too. There are innumerable things we could do. Very few of them are things we should do.

A, That's not what you said. B, ANWR wasnt the only places leases were cancelled/denied nor was it the only place new exploration was outlawed. Care to try again?
