    Well..on one hand it means a lot less sh*tty PC's out there.
    On the other hand...the largest manufacturer of anything looking at quitting is always big news.

    Look in the pile of dead laptops in any PC repair shop....Almost exclusively HP boat anchors.

    PCs are becoming a commodity product. There is not the markup a company like HP needs.

    There have been several articles lately that the PC is going the way of the IBM card, and being replaced by tablets.

    You wouldn't catch me buying an HP computer if it was the last manufacturer left.
