WOW, Communist Party USA's Constitution: And outline of all left wing talking points!

Whatever douchebag.

Does anyone recognize any of these characteristics of fascism?

1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism
-
Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos,
slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia.
Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on
clothing and in public displays.

2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights
-
Because of fear of enemies and the need for security,
the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human
rights can be ignored in certain cases because
of "need." The people tend to look the other way or
even approve of torture, summary executions,
assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.

3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause -
The people are rallied into a unifying
patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a
perceived common threat or foe: racial , ethnic or
religious minorities; liberals; communists;
socialists, terrorists, etc.

4. Supremacy of the Military -
Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a
disproportionate amount of government funding, and the
domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military
service are glamorized.

5. Rampant Sexism -
The governments of fascist nations
tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under
fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made
more rigid. Opposition to abortion is high, as is
homophobia and anti-gay legislation and national
policy.

6. Controlled Mass Media -
Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other
cases, the media is indirectly controlled by
government regulation, or sympathetic media
spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in
war time, is very common.

7. Obsession with National Security -
Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses.

8. Religion and Government are Intertwined
-
Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most
common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate
public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is
common from government leaders, even when the major
tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to
the government's policies or actions.

9. Corporate Power is Protected
-
The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the
ones who put the government leaders into power,
creating a mutually beneficial business/government
relationship and power elite.

10. Labor Power is Suppressed
-
Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist
government, labor unions are either eliminated
entirely, or are severely suppressed .

11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts -
Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to
higher education, and academia. It is not uncomm on
for professors and other academics to be censored or
even arrested. Free __expression in the arts is openly
attacked, and governments often refuse to fund the
arts.

12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment -
Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless
power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to
overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties
in the name of patriotism. There is often a national
police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist
nations.

13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption
-
Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and
associates who appoint each other to government
positions and use governmental power and authority to
protect their friends from accountability. It is not
uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and
even treasures to be appropriated or even outright
stolen by government leaders.

14. Fraudulent Elections -
Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times
elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against
or even assassination of opposition candidates,

use of legislation to control voting numbers or
political district boundaries, and manipulation of the
media. Fascist nations also typically use their
judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.

The ones I bolded fit the right wing and the Tea Party very well.

I mean, if we are going to play absolutist games, let's do it, Adolph.

Not sure where you gathered your information as you provided no link..........however (since I can't yet post links) you might want to go to Wikipedia and see what they have to say about Fascism. I know, I know it's Wiki but there are many things that do not align themselves with conservatives. Actually Fascism is very anti-conservative.

And then there is this:

Fascism is normally described as "extreme right",[35][36] although writers have found placing fascism on a conventional left-right political spectrum difficult.[37] There is a scholarly consensus that fascism was influenced by both left and right, conservative and anti-conservative, national and supranational, rational and anti-rational.[38] A number of historians have regarded fascism either as a revolutionary centrist doctrine, as a doctrine which mixes philosophies of the left and the right, or as both of those things.

Ok, it's that kind of forum, huh?? :eusa_whistle:

No, it's just Frank, the board doofus.

Obama had to know that Van Jones was a communist when he appointed him to his green jobs board. Communists have hijacked the green movement.

Yep. It's called Agenda 21. Global communism under the guise of "Green" and "sustainability".

Torture, death penalty, lifetime without parole...tell me you are against those things

The people are rallied into a unifying
patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a

How blind are you? That is the Tea Party's whole mantra. Hell even on this board how many times have we seen "liberals are the enemy" posts?

4. Supremacy of the Military -
Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a

Oh... you think because Palin and Bachmann are women that you aren't sexist? Read the bottom part

6. Controlled Mass Media -
Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other
cases, the media is indirectly controlled by
government regulation, or sympathetic media
spokespeople and executives. Censorship
, especially in
war time, is very common.

wow... i know you guys believe this...so... just for the sake of argument...I'll concede... although I don't believe it.

7. Obsession with National Security -
Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses
.

Homeland Security? Patriot Act? Screaming about muslims that are behind every corner trying to kill us? wow...

8. Religion and Government are Intertwined -
Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most

Gimme a break... you guys loves your Corporations... you want to do everything to give them free reign and have more and more power... how fucking dishonest can you be?

10. Labor Power is Suppressed -
Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist
government, labor unions are either eliminated
entirely, or are severely suppressed .

11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts -

Well, we run the gamut here. I tell you the truth, if you have a sense of humor, the Liberal posters here are the funniest people on the planet.

I've chuckled a couple of times today. I like there are posters from both sides.

So tell me do they reply to each other or just keep posting their opinions and call each other names.

You can learn a lot here. There are many posters like myself who provide thoughtful analysis, new information and pithy and cogent ideas and still find the time to plant mental landmines for the overeager to blow themselves up.

-Tax the rich

Um, we've always taxed the rich. And the middle. Were we always Communist?

- Unions for working class

Is a good safeguard against horrid working conditions and salaries, and obv. before their establishment, the free market was not taking care of those issues.

- Against all manifestations of male supremacy (aka, eliminate manliness in society)

I don't even know what the fuck this is supposed to mean.

- Gay rights in all avenues of society

That's just a common sense position.

- High minimum wage

I don't think "high" but I'd say "fair/realistic"

- Universal health care

I'm not studied enough on the whole cob-web of a system, to conclude what my plan would be.

- Anti- Iraq War

Makes someone communist?

Bottom line, I agree with many of these positions, yet am not schooled on "Communism," at all basically aside from learning about it in-passing in College.

Stupid thread.

I think you have a view of yourself through rose colored glasses. Are you a self-proclaimed messiah? Are you a selfly-annointed one? Sounds like it. Elitist.

I'm not T party, so my responses would have been off. Your responses showed a lack of information.

Why are you making this about Obama? The post was about "the left", not Obama... geez, for a person claiming not to be Tea Party... You certainly speak their language.

Lastly... about the GE thing. Never excused GE for not paying taxes, Never will excuse them for sending jobs to China... why doesn't your side do the same thing for Exxon/Mobil and the rest of the Big 10 in corporate welfare... Once again.. GE is your scapegoat, because there's a connection to the administration.... and that's the only reason.

I will condemn them ALL.
