Wouldn't free-enterprise be good for minorities?

I know many minorities face discrimination at the workplace but wouldn't the competitive economic model be a remedy for that? An Hispanic who can't get promoted because of an all-white hiring practice might find opportunity by starting a business of their own. We can say the same for any other kind of discrimination such as discrimination against women. I don't believe that the free-enterprise system benefits everyone equally but it might provide a remedy against this society's racism and hatred of women. In this case, it might be beneficial to minorities and evil nasty racist conservatives can't complain because its their own economic system.
