It’s a question that has been widely explored by sci-fi novelists and filmmakers for decades. Her and Ex Machina – both Oscar nominated – revolve around protagonists developing deep, romantic feelings for some form of artificial intelligence.

No MindWars
People enjoy a good fight.
They need to grapple with equally flawed partners
in order to project their "mommy issues" and "daddy issues"
back and forth for drama, venting, trolling, bullying and excitement.

The internet, social media, and cell phones are the catalyst,
but there is nothing that can simulate the frustrating stupidity
of human beings and the drama we create for ourselves
by taking the karma we carry from the past and
blaming it on other people.

No machine or AI can generate that same effect and connection.
People need each other, for better or for worse.

AI and computers are just another avenue for us
to explore to learn about ourselves and what
drives human interaction in comparison.

Much earlier than 2050, I certainly hope ...
