    Hi

I just wanted to surf for some news about the state elections in germany and i´m going to drive mad about the masses of pops, flash, videos for all and everything. I mean every site, every picture, every yt video comes with a flash, a pop-up, an advertising premovie or something esle. this doesn´t make any fun anymore. Will there never be an end?

Download Firefox then get their 'ad block plus' add-on. No more ads. It's great.

Ad revenue pays the freight on the internet. With Minyanville the options are ads, $9/month or being blocked. Tanstaafl is the term for the situation.

Any advert that is IN the video, you can't block. But I've never seen any of those either, and have had a YouTube account for a long time.

It's just recently become a pain in the ass for me----10 or 15 second ads before the video plays

If it's not part of the video, you shouldn't see it if you have FF with AdBlock.

By the way, when you get Firefox and install AdBlock, it won't work until you subscribe to a filter. EasyListUSA is the best one, updated daily.
