Why some ancient greek philosophers mocked “democracy”

In Plato’s “republic”, he compares democracy to “mob-acracy” stating that the common, uneducated mob would fall prey to demagoguery, charlatans and the empty promises made by rogues who well knew that simple minds could be molded into compliances through rhetoric.

….and history keeps repeating itself, as an apropos testimonial is offered by the GOP candidates in last night’s so-called “debate”.

Please tell me you're voting for Clinton so I can laugh at the irony.

I'm not sure of who exactly stated that, "In a democracy, I seldom vote FOR someone, I usually vote AGAINST someone else."........My feelings exactly.

Very true.....I was alluding to the Greeks since our Founders were well versed in Greek philosophies.
