Why Obama Doesn't Have a Clue

Why Obama Doesn't Have a Clue?

Look who he has been surrounded by his entire life (at least the parts we know of).

Guess the GI/GO theory nails it.

First, supposing that we accept that Obama's statement was clueless, this would be a result, not a cause, of his own cluelessness. This is certainly not an argument why Obama is clueless.

Secondly, Obama said that the demand for engineers was "huge". the CIS disputes this on the grounds that the the unemployment rate among engineers isn't as far below the overall unemployment rate as are other categories. The statistic CIS proposes is a horrible measure of demand. Ask yourself, is there more demand for telemarketers or locomotive engineers in the US? Most of us would say the former, since there are several telemarketers for every locomotive engineer. However, last year the unemployment rate was about 10,000% higher among telemarketers (What’s the Unemployment Rate for Your Profession? - Real Time Economics - WSJ).

Unemployment is not a good measure of demand. It's caused more by inefficiencies in the market, such as a recent change in demand, than in demand in the absolute sense.

HE is the most clueless president ever. From redesigning the presidential seal during his campaign, to his "guns and religion" quip, to just about any pronouncement he's made he shows he is totally out of touch with how most Americans think.
Obama didnt grow up in AMerica and was surrounded by Leftists who proclaimed America was the source of all problems. He just doesn't get it.

Unemployment goin' back up again...

Gallup Finds Unemployment Climbing to Nine Percent in February
February 20, 2012 – Unemployment in the U.S. rose to nine percent in mid-February, up from 8.3 percent a month earlier, according to a new Gallup survey. The polling company said this suggests that it is “premature” to assume the economy will not feature prominently in the 2012 election season.
Gallup figures typically provide an indication of what the government will report at the end of the month. “The U.S. unemployment rate, as measured by Gallup without seasonal adjustment, is 9.0% in mid-February,” Gallup said in its mid-month unemployment survey, released on February 17. “The mid-month reading normally reflects what the U.S. government reports for the entire month, and is up from 8.3% in mid-January.” Gallup said the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) would likely report a rise in the official unemployment rate in early March, when it publishes its February figures.

Gallup’s mid-month figures are not seasonally adjusted, and so may not predict the official unemployment rate precisely. However, because Gallup and BLS both conduct their unemployment surveys at the same time – in the middle of the month – Gallup’s early figures can provide a barometer of where the official rate is likely headed. “Gallup’s mid-month unemployment reading, based on the 30 days ending Feb. 15, serves as a preliminary estimate of the U.S. government report, and suggests the Bureau of Labor Statistics will likely report on the first Friday of March that its seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased in February,” Gallup said.

The survey also found that “underemployment” – those unemployed and those working part-time because full-time jobs are unavailable – rose to 19 percent, up from the 18.7 percent Gallup found in January. Gallup said its report reflected a continuing trend of weakness in U.S. labor markets, marking a “sharp deterioration” in job market conditions. “Regardless of what the government reports, Gallup’s unemployment and underemployment measures show a sharp deterioration in job market conditions since mid-January.”

That decline was consistent with an economy struggling with weak growth and rising energy prices, Gallup said, making it “premature” to think that the economy would not be a major factor in November’s presidential elections. “Further, it suggests that it is premature to assume the condition of the economy will not remain a major issue for Americans both financially and politically in 2012.”

Sen. Harkin rips Obama for 'unraveling Social Security' with tax cut
2/16/12 - Says he never imagined a Democrat would begin unraveling Social Security
Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) tore into President Obama on Thursday for "unraveling Social Security." The liberal senator was unusually tough in criticizing Obama, who Harkin said would deprive the Social Security fund of roughly $100 billion by extending the two-percentage-point payroll tax cut through the end of 2012. That tax funds the Social Security trust fund. “I never thought I would have to see the day when a Democratic president of the United States and a Democratic vice president would agree to put Social Security in this kind of jeopardy," exclaimed a visibly agitated Harkin from the Senate floor. "Never did I ever imagine a Democratic president would be the beginning of the unraveling of Social Security.”

Harkin predicted that Americans would become addicted to the payroll tax cut, which has been in place since the begiining of last year. The House and Senate are expected to approve the extension on Friday. He also noted that under the deal worked out by House Republicans and Senate Democrats, the tax cut will not be offset with other spending cuts or tax increases and will add to the deficit. "I warn my colleagues to consider the long terms ramifications of these actions," said Harkin. "This continues to open the door to further extending the [pay roll] tax cut because we don't have to pay for it."

The tax cut would save the average American family up to $40 per month by relieving them of part of the tax that is designed to pay their part towards the Social Security fund. Obama is a strong advocate for extending the tax cut, which he says is necessary to prevent the economic recovery from stalling. Some economists have estimated the tax cut adds as much as a point to U.S. GDP growth this year.

Want to solve the problem? Ask the GOP to pass a law that puts illegal employers in prison when we catch them hiring illegals.

You will see in one month 13 million illegals will go home. No jobs, no stay.

We don't have an illegal immigrant problem. We have an illegal employer problem.

America has two signs on the border. A small one that says stay out and a big one that says HELP WANTED!

Why Obama Doesn't Have a Clue

Obama does not have a clue because he is a moron. The world is not much more complicated than that.

Laws are on the books already and who's in charge of enforcing them?

If the GOP did pass such a law, it would only sit in the pile with all the other bills on Harry Reid's desk.
