Why France?

    I don't think racism is the spark of this particular conflagration, but that doesn't mean the article isn't dead on regarding the French:

    It's sure that there is not a lot of black or arabian people in TV or Policy.

    But there are some progresses :

    Rachid Arab was presentator of the TV news on FRance 2 for while several years and is still on France 2.

    One of the numbers 1 in the "Verts", ecological party, is black - Stéphane Pocrin.

    We've minister with arabian origins, actually in the government.

    During Charles de Gaulle's governments, we've black minister : Felix Houphouët-Bouani was State minister, the highest grade for a minister. And there were arabian women also.

    It's not enough, but it's a good beginning. ;)

    Why is that a good beginning? De Gaulle has been gone a very long time. What about the education bit? You are always commenting on how superior your system it, yet black university rates, especially black women's rates are up enormously. What about France?
