Why does Fox advertise Megyn Kelly's show that is on a competitors network?

NBC needs to build MKs audience commensurate with the boatload of money they're forking over to her annually, so the suits must be hoping Fox's audience turns out to be a target rich environment for their ad dollars. They're likely spreading the bucks around elsewhere also in hopes the execs can somehow avoid a disaster and permanent membership in TVs Village Idiots club for hiring her in the first place.
