    Gee, I'm an atheist, and I'm against running up more debt that I can possibly ever pay off.

    Why aren't you?

    Look, Obamsky voted against raising the debt ceiling when he was a Senator, when we were in the midst of a war. He really doesn't have much to say when he gets his feet held to the fire.

    The scripture do say to get ourselves out of debt. I highly doubt that's the reason we want to though. Most of us just realize the dangerous cliff we are hanging out by continually spending money we don't have.

    If we were more bigotted people like yourself, we could question why athiests want to spend our nation into oblivion. But that wouldn't be fair to athiests who aren't as suicidal. Nor would it be honest. Which, is another one of those attributes we learn from the Bible.
