Whose version do you prefer?

In the Whitney version, the attention is on the singer...in the Dolly version, the attention is on the lyrics.

i thought it was on her Cleavage.....i could be wrong.....

meh... Dolly's hooters never did anything for me... waaay too much of a good thing... to the point of bordering on gross-out-ness... puts me in mind of the old saying "more than a mouthful is a waste"...

I love Linda Ronstadt... could listen to her sweet voice all day and all night...

and I don't much like listening to Dolly Parton... way too high-pitched and warbly for me...

but on this particular song, Dolly wins by a country mile... no one else has nearly been able to convey the feeling of it like her...
