I was just listening to this guy on Dancing with the Stars tell about his life in Cuba. He is quite "white" but has a thick accent and so I happened to think about folks around here who seem to think that saying "he looks Hispanic" makes sense, as if Hispanic were a racial identification, as opposed to a cultural identification.
Latin was a practiced language at one point in time.
