Welcome to the new America. Both Neocons and Communists/Progressives despise dissent when they're in power. I make it a point to never trust Neocons or Communists/Progressives. They lie. It's as simple as that. They pretend to support the dissent thing only when they're out of power. Just look at Obama's criminal IRS attacks on political opponents. He should be Impeached for it. You can probably find them at your local GOP office - at least until another Repug gets elected or selected. Then it will be replaced by "You're either with us or you're against us".

Dissent is something most support only when their side is out of power. That's the reality. Just look at Obama's awful IRS attacks on political opponents and arrests of Journalists and Filmmakers. So please don't tell me Communists/Progressives stand up for Dissent. That's only a matter of convenience for them. Wait till the Republicans get the White House back. Then you'll see a mad rush by the Communists/Progressives to pretend they defend the right of Dissent.

That being said, the Neocons who run the Republican Party aren't much different. They're all for Dissent now, but that'll likely change once they get the power back. The sad reality is, there are very few out there standing up for Dissent and our Constitution. We'll probably have to look to the creation of a Third Party for any hope on that. The Two-Party System is corrupt and is a lost cause at this point. It is what it is.
