MLK said that he dreamed of a nation his children were not judged by the color of their skin, but the content of their character.
Think about that for a minute. I mean really. What did he mean by the content of character versus color of skin?
Look today currently at the race/civil rights community and organizations. Do they embody this ideal they claim to support? I don't see that being the case anymore. They want to be judged by their skin color and not their character. Why? Why would you not want to be judged by your good deeds and laudables? Unless of course you have far more sins you are scared to be judged by. Could that be it?
A meritocracy demands that those who do are rewarded for their effort, or punished for their effort... or lack there of. MLK obviously was referring to this in part.
So ask yourself, when it comes RIGHT DOWN to it... do you personally want to be judged by your Character, or your skin?
