What percentage of Americans are actually "descended from criminals"

For the sake of being strict to the rules, we can say what percentage in 2014 if necessary.
We've all heard that America started as a territory for adventurer and criminals, but how much of that still remains, surely there were other colonists and what not that lead to it being a first world country.

If the answer is "most of them" because of math. Then maybe a better question would be what is the average "percentage criminal" of an American citizen (so if one grandparent was a "criminal" that'd be 25%)

I'm not offended by this at all. I grew up in Appalachia in the Northeast Corner of Alabama. My 8th grade history teacher told me that the area known as Alabama today was a part of Georgia. The Americas was a common place for the crown to send criminals to develop the new land. Georgia was the place to send the criminals out of those criminals. Some of the passion that I experience in my life leads me to believe that I share a mindset with criminals. Perhaps I came from bad stock. The geography adds up. My genetics are probably from the worst of the worst of Old British blood.
