I wonder what the world would have been like today if, after the end of WWII, American armed forces had been returned to the states, and a law passed not to become involved in any conflict that didn't directly effect the US, nor supply arms to anyone, but engage in community projects to improve life for the world's poor.
Would there be a Chinese military build up today?
Would the Soviet union still have died the sick death it did?
Would there be any terrorism affecting the US?
Would the British empire still exist?
What would be the state of America's internal politics and wealth?
Real comments only, not rubbish on political lines.
