The dirty little secret, at least in the U.S. is that military spending translates to economic prosperity. Military spending is the concept that propelled the U.S. out of the "great depression" when FDR finally got the Japanese to attack and push us into the "real war". Lefties loved it then but hate it now. In China the government controls everything including news (propaganda) that American and pretend American lefties eat up and spew out. People in China are forced to labor on military projects for coolie wages and spending appears to be minimal for propaganda reasons . In the U.S. expert welders and fabricators and construction workers get top dollar for their efforts. The ignorant radical progs of course criticize the U.S. and praise China.
