"Was President Bush The Most Powerful Person In The World?"

Yes. At present, Barack Hussein Obama is. The President of the United States has been the most powerful man in the world for decades, no matter who held the post. Some have wielded their power effectively, some have not. Some have excelled in specific areas and failed in others. Not one has excelled in all areas. Reagan came close, as did Kennedy. None of the wartime Presidents have had the balls to go ahead and use the power at hand to crush the enemy and force it to sue for peace.

Bush did not control the US economy, the price of gasoline, the cost of electricity, the prices of homes, cars, food, clothing, rent, art works, water or clean air. He did not cause a hurricane or the delay in response or lack of preparation by the local officials.

He did not cause the attacks of terrorists on 9-11. Nor did he cause any other terrorist attack...ever. He effectively guarded us against attacks on our homeland until he left office.

According to the right Obama caused it all in just one year!

Now that is power :D

hmmm....never heard that....no surprise you're full of poop

do you have links or anything else to support your statement that "according to the right Obama caused it all in just one year"

provide evidence or recant

One has only to spend a few hours here to find evidence of the right blaming Obama for everything that is bad in the USA, and he has only been in power for a year.
Hardly so. I don't blame Obama for what is bad wrong here. I blame him for making it worse. His ineptness is going to prove that his current Vice-President was right when they were debating for the candidacy...this is no time for on the job training.

Obama is presently the most powerful man in the world. He controls the most advanced military in existence. He does not control the US economy any more than Bush did. He does not control the world economy. He can affect both somewhat, but I think not to the point of single-handed control. He could improve our economy by signing the Fair Tax into law, maintaining the Bush tax cuts and letting the American public decide what it wants to buy instead of insisting on government allocations to pay off political favors and enrich political cronies.
