Warren Admits She Was Trying To End Bloomberg's Campaign Run Before Hers Tanked

Trump is a lot like Bloomberg, but less intelligent and more vulgar.

^^ Says this while he reaps the benefits of a great economy, plentiful jobs, low gas prices, peace with N Korea, increased border security to keep gangs out, fair SCOTUS, and a President on top on the latest virus (I'm sure you're not aware Trump declared a public health emergency back on Jan 31st and started restricting flights).

Jan 31 -
The declaration of a public health emergency — which will become effective Sunday at 5 p.m. ET — enables the government to take temporary measures to contain the spread of the virus, which has been confirmed in seven people in the U.S.

The action means that U.S. citizens who have been in China's Hubei Province in the past 14 days will be subject to 14 days of mandatory quarantine if they travel back to the United States.

Unfortunately for Warren, she does not platy politics well & killed her own campaign. She had no path to beating Bernie without help from other Democrats like Bloomberg.

Agree...but IMO Warren never had a shot. Once called on the entire career-long self-proclaimed 'Native American' bit was debunked and she just continued to make bogus claims that kept EASILY being debunked (her own FAMILY came out to declare she was lying about their father) she 'peaked' / hit the proverbial 'ceiling' for her. It did not help that she and Bernie were 'fishing form the same pond' for voters.

If she had somehow stayed in the race and Biden gets / got taken down before the Convention, the entire DNC would have backed her rather than Bernie....but, alas, it was not meant to be.

NOBODY has a "career-long proclamation" just because you make a career out of hanging it on her.
Warren placed herself policy wise between Bernie and Biden. I thought that was a good place, but I think I recall that her polls pretty much cratered even before Bloomberg got in for real. I'm not sure what happened with Warren's campaign. She was sort of like Hillary in a good way, with thought out positions on everything, and apparently some of Hillary's more loyal supporters liked her a lot. I don't think I'm being sexist when I say she was sort of off-putting to me because she looked out of the TV like a barn owl waiting to silently glide from it's perch and … pounce.

VIDEO: Elizabeth Warren Exits WHINING

Few candidates have exited their unsuccessful campaigns with more self-pitying WHINING than Elizabeth Warren. She used the old excuse of blaming gender as a way to avoid the fact that voters simply did NOT trust her due to her own actions such as backstabbing Bernie Sanders by accusing him of sexism. Also breaking her own campaign promises didn't help with her credibility issues.

Of course, she is now using the fact that Sanders supporters criticized her online as an all too politically convenient EXCUSE to decline endorsing him thus earning brownie points from the Democrat establishment. Perhaps she hopes Joe Biden will pick her for VP running mate.

I think she was relatively ignored by the media, who were hung up on the soap operas of Bernie and Buttigieg. In other words she didn't have the lowest common denominator factor of either unorthodox sexuality or fake McCarthy-era labels. Both of those sell better.

The Pocohotas thing will be impossible to live down. And the DNA test. But what's her resume? Nada, imo. She's smart and all, but what's she really done to help people? Nothing that I see. I realize there has to be misogyny at play, but a younger Hillary was committed to children's lives and poverty. Imo there are possibly compelling stories surrounding some dem women … the senior senator from Ariz and Stacy Abrams, for example.

But I agree the Mayor Pete thing was tied to his gay. He's also a smart good looking guy, but he has no resume.

People, even the trumpstettes in 16, want to know why someone's running. The two dems left standing have obvious reasons: Bernie's got his socialist worker's of the world party that he's been spinning since 1970, and Biden is sort of what should have been Obama's third term in 16.

I was surprised Cory Booker didn't put up more a reason to vote for him. He cared about Newark. No, no one ever hears from him. This is no comment upon race in the dems race, because Booker didn't really like it up among blacks, but Iowa needs to just go, and NH just needs to be part of Super Tue with Me and NH

What you're not hearing is that Bloomberg's objective wasn't winning the nomination in the first place.
If it was to waste $500 Million, he succeeded.

Define "waste". That's up to the waster, is it not? Depends on what you want. If you go drop your money on comic books or golf clubs or fake wrestling tickets I may think that's a waste, but you may not.

If it was to 'beat and bloody' Trump, he failed - he was the one who took a beating.

Irrelevant. Bloomberg isn't the one in office.

If it was to ALMOST resurrect Warren's dying campaign, he almost succeeded.

There's no reason to imagine that was the rationale. Doesn't even make sense.

Invented the Consumer Protection Bureau, hello? Did you forget what propelled her to prominence in the first place?

Now maybe she should have tooted her own horn about that more, but at some point the voter has to take responsibility for awareness.
