How long does it take to fully charge a typical electric vehicle? Just a few minutes, at most, to refuel any vehicle that runs on gasoline or diesel. I don't think I've heard of anything that takes less than half an hour to fully charge an electric car.

If the ratio of electric car chargers to electric cars was the same as the ratio of gas pumps to gasoline-powered cars, then it stand to reason that you'd have to wait longer, in a longer line, to charge an electric car than to refuel a gasoline-powered car, simply because everyone who has to charge an electric car has to take a lot longer to do it.
