[The PC Police, in their never ending, leaving absolutely no stone unturned, undying, and sometimes highly imaginative, highly inventive, quest to root out racism in America are coming down on the Navy's SEALs as depicted in the movie "Act Of Valor". Very much in the spirit of their current lawsuit against the State of Iowa for being bigoted and racist for no other reason other than because Iowa is simply 91% white, they want to know why there are not more people of color in the SEALS ranks.
Once the people of color issue is resolved, Demi Moore having taken care of the gender representation issue with the SEALS in a previous movie, the PC Police will probably next start asking why the SEALS do not allow admission to their ranks to people in wheelchairs. Remember the photo of the three FDNY firemen raising the flag the WTC site after 9/11 when the PC Police objected to that simple, actual, photo and later wanted people of color, women, and some handicapped photoshopped in?]

(TIME) In nature, most seals are black, with relatively few white ones. The Navys SEALs have exactly the opposite problem theyre overwhelmingly white, with hardly any blacks. So theyre trying to do something about it.
Its a fundamental challenge in a democracy with an all-volunteer force: recruits may be drawn from all segments of society, but elite military units and none is more elite these days than the SEALs, following their dispatch of Osama bin Laden last May tend to draw from small pools of talent. For the SEALs, that includes athletic young men who are smart and good in the water. For whatever reason, that has led to an overwhelmingly white SEAL force."
