Unemployment falls in Alabama
Progressives are furious Americans have jobs

Yes, correlation does not imply causality.
That said, it is interesting that unemployment has significantly declined in Alabama as its strict new immigration law takes effect. Obviously, this makes sense, as government welfare subsidized "cheap labor" undercuts American workers. If illegals cannot work, Americans will be able to get jobs at higher wages.
Of course, there are those "conservatives" who believe that the purpose of America is to make sure we can be "free" to work 16 hours a day starting at age 7 and be paid with bits of string or something.
Meanwhile, leftists suddenly abandon their opposition to the "1%" and traditional alliance with workers if it means that dirty Americans (especially with Southern accents) might lead a decent lifestyle. Hence, we have been treated to the likes of the Huffington Post or Imagine 2050 defending the Slave Power in Alabama on a more or less daily basis. Luckily for Alabama workers, thus far the law is still in effect, although the Obama Administration is working hard to create more unemployment and poverty by suing the state.
