Chrysler announced its going to build Jeeps in China. Wonder why? Chocolate bar on a break beats a marijuana joint or a fifth of whiskey in management's book every time. Eat your heart out Trumka. Buckets got some learning 'dings' in it. Some American operators, like a guy we used to call "Waxer" because when he wasn't running the machine he was waxing it, would have been a little upset.

That's slave labor. If you ever speak out in support of slave labor--and if you are completely ignorant of the horrible conditions many Chinese citizens face--your karma will getcha.

And, thanks for the heads up on that. I'll not be buying Chrysler products this year (in fact, they are practically worthless piles of heavily overpowered junk anyway).

That's slave labor.
Really?

People who make the choice of traveling great distances from their family, to accept agreed upon wages in a city factory that are 4x higher than what they would have made back at the village, is slave labor? What silly people these millions of workers must be, to voluntarily become slaves.

Their choice is to work for something or starve. And we want to limit their opportunity to work.

How compassionate of us.

Yeah, we'd all be alot better off if we made less money.

1000% stupid! China is the greatest economic miracle of all time. Before Republican capitalism in 1980 20 million were starving to death thanks to liberal policies. Now, that many buy cars each year!!

If a liberal is not 1000%
I'll eat my hat!!!

I saw a documentary not too long ago focused on factory workers in china. They have they same sort of scheme there that many coal workers were forced into here in the US in the early part of our history.

The job pays x, which sounds reasonable. However as a condition of the job you must live within their housing unit and pay us rent, the units are just bedrooms so you will take all your meals in our cafeteria, and of course pay a monthly food bill. At the end of the month, those workers take home only a portion of their "wages".

Not saying every factory, or even most are like that, but it was a startling look into why the USA will never entice those low cost manufacturing jobs back.

please don't believe the liberal lies. China is the greatest economic miracle in human history. THey went from 20 million starving to death each year under liberal policies to 20 million buying new cars each year under Republican capitalist policies. They have had 7-10% growth per year for 30 years.

What reason would "liberals" have for lying about Chinese labor? o_O

Fake goods, fake growth? Will the Chinese feast end? - Money - DNA

Btw, since you seem really interested in Chinas economy, Id suggest you read around on it.

"Since 2008, China’s headline growth of 8-10% has been driven by new lending averaging around 30-40% of GDP.

Given that (up to) 20-25% of these loans may prove to be non-performing, amounting to losses of 6-10% of GDP. If these losses are deducted, Chinese growth is much lower.

The China economic debate is focused on the alternatives of a soft or hard landing. Both scenarios assume a slowdown in growth and transition to a troubled maturity."

What reason would "liberals" have for lying about Chinese labor?

dear, Chinese Republican capitalism just pulled off the greatest economic miracle in all of human history so of course the libturd propagandists will lie about it any way they can!!

Its long been standard operating procedure for the left:For example, who can forget his infamous 1984 quote that the communist system in the former Soviet Union was superior to capitalism because, according to Galbraith, the communists somehow made better and more efficient use of its "manpower" than did the West? Indeed, to the very end, Galbraith was a socialist impersonating an economist.

John Kenneth Galbraith, an intellectual icon of the Old Left and New Left, said of the Soviets’ overtaking of Poland after World War II: “Russia should be permitted to absorb Poland, the Balkans, and the whole of Eastern Europe in order to spread the benefits of Communism” (Emphasis added).

IF you want more you can read "Useful Idots" by Mona Charon

Nonsense. This is not the China of the 70s where poor communist aggrarian policies resulted in mass starvation.

People can live in the nong cun where their families have lived for decades. They choose to move to the city to work in a factory because it is an opportunity for more money.

Oh.

Well if they are as amazing as you say, perhaps America should switch to socialism too!

dear China just switched to capitalism from liberal socialism. Got it now???

Am I being punk'd?

You know it's not 1987 anymore, right?

They didn't "just switch" to a more capitalist approach. However they are still dominated by the communist ideology, and are staring at a serious socieconomic crisis in the next 15 years. False growth leading to an ever sluggish economy, bad investments, massive environmental issues, the rise of Maoism, they are approaching an upheaval from the working class... I could go on, but I don't think you know anything about China, so why bother.

They didn't "just switch" to a more capitalist approach.

sure they did, 30 years is less than a mere drop in the bucket but in that tiny amount of time Republican capitalism has instantly erased centuries of poverty and en masse liberal starvation. Only a liberal could be so stupid, brain dead, and blind enough to not understand it.

However they are still dominated by the communist ideology,

actually they switched to capitalism 30 years ago. What planet have you been on????

too stupid, who would believe you of all people have a crystal ball???????

Galbraith's crystal ball:

Romney was right when he said Chrysler was going to build jeeps in China.
Remember when the left went nuts during the Campaign when he said it? :)

Read a book, and get back to me when you spout something besides drivel.
