Uk goes 2 months without coal power

Mining lithium is a very dirty business. As is mining other material for so-called 'green energy', like the elements needed to make super magnets.

Oh, and from the OP.

The new record, the country’s National Grid said, is partly a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The halting of manufacturing and increased levels of home-working has seen demand for electricity drop by an average of 15% to 20%.

Yeah, they'll be building cars, washing machines, etc. from home.

They will. Increasingly. Design, order, collaborate, inspect, package, monitor, sell, ship. What can't one do from home? Ultimately? The robots are already here. But why even still drive or own one? Only real question remaining is: "Blue pill or red?"
