Hey, I'm not the one declaring victory in Iraq.
I don't believe we can ever really declare "victory" there.
A-a-and...we achieved victory in Germany and Japan, yet we remain.
WHY?

So therefore never?
The cost of the Iraq war so far is about $560 Billion and growing at $341.4 million per day. At the same time, our Federal Government is proposing a $700 billion rescue plan (paid by taxpayers) for the U.S. financial industry with little expectation it will solve the crisis. I'd say we already lost.
$341.4 million a day? Now that is outrageous.
$560 billion is also what our Military spending is just about. Which is eight times more then China and more then the rest of the world combined.
Well, we can't use their oil wealth now, can we?
Imagine what the liberals would cry about THAT!
uh, those were rejected recentlyOf course we can't use their oil wealth. The Bush Administration is making sure that the Iraqi people won't have the majority of the oil wealth, thanks to the farkin' NO BID OIL CONTRACTS HE'S SECURED FOR THE WESTERN OIL COMPANIES as part of the agreements with the Iraqi government.
Of course we've been victorious in Iraq. They have a working government, they are building like crazy, it's safer there than it has been in ages, they are building an incredible police force, thanks to our policemen and women who are training them and their own bravery and dedication (the police were and are targeted relentlessly by the terrorists. And yet they keep signing up.)
It's a huge success. Our success in Iraq will be something that will memorialize Bush's presidency.
Same reason we have troops in another 150+ countries?
Is that why the dems are bitching the Iraqis have an $80B budget surplus from oil revenues and they just signed deals with China to drill for them?OohRah Mama said:Of course we can't use their oil wealth.
