I think Germans were the first to use film as a weapon of propaganda.

    A great film.

    Hitler was just misunderstood.

    Something about that WWII thing.

If only he got the Academy Award. That's where he got that "I hate Jews" thing. Snubbed by Hollywood.

The rehabilitation of Lili Reisenthal is kind of squicky. She seemed totally unrepentant.

The marriage of music(IIRC it is from Wagner's Parsifal) and film is cool when Disney does it. It gives you shivers when you see this and know the history.

Of course, she borrowed heavily from Sergei Esienstien, and parts of it are so you tube these days.

    For what?

It was made by Leni Reinfenstahl, a genius, albeit wrong minded, film maker.

Leni Refensthal was a great documentary film maker and Triumph of the Will attests to that fact. I find her film Olympia which documented the 1936 Berlin games more compelling than Triumph of the Will. She went on to blaze new trails in underwater cinematography. She was also a beauty and a popular actress in German cinema. Check her out in The Blue Light sometime.
