My great grandpa had slaves and a feed store in MistyNshitty. Guess what ? The slaves decided not to leave " their home" and worked then on for a reasonable salary(chump change) and access to the horses, land, tools, school(he taught da niggaz to read----the bible) and church they grew up with.They made enough to upgrade the shitty houses he provided to kick up their lifestyles. They never left. The large part of those families are around White Sands. Some headed north during the industrial revolution( auto-steel plants)
