3. Again about people's peronality and maturing.
4. Same thing about hard times in everybody's life.

Leviathan is good, but not amazing. I wouldn't put any of those in the top ten.

I also think it's about the mood you are in when you watch the film. If you're in the wrong mood, the film won't take you so easily.

I'll nominate one first.

The Princess Bride.

Ooooohhh I bet you didn't see that coming!!!

Mysts of Avalon is a good movie too. I would put it at a 10

If you want to feel real emotional anger...The Stoning of Soraya.

i haven't seen other movies which emphasize the same idea as leviathan does. And this idea i consider as very important in living.
I rate movies not by mood, but by thoughts after watching.

I was disappointed by Come and See, especially after its build up.

I think Seven Samurai would be in there somewhere.

Enemy Mine
Cool Runnings
Quest For Fire
Les Miserables (with liam, not the musical one)

I liked most of those above.

Anyone see Old Dogs with Robin Williams and John Travolta? It is hysterical. Need to laugh......watch it.

1. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
2. Grapes of Wrath
3. It's a Wonderful Life
4. The Wizard of Oz
5. Psycho
6. Gone with the Wind
7. To Kill a Mockingbird
8. Pulp Fiction
9. Forrest Gump
10. Goodfellas

Well what'll it be? Factors to consider: entertainment value, influence on culture, quality, acting, message....

Let's put together a list of movies and I'll start a thread in a few days to vote on them.

Whenever you compose your list, it helps to think of this in terms of each movie's potential as "greatest movie of all-time" and not just a really good movie you liked. There are tons and tons of really good and GREAT movies that aren't the greatest of all-time. I looked at my list when finished and asked myself, could each of these movies be considered on their own merit as "the greatest" and I had to remove a few and replace them with others.
