NEW YORK President Barack Obama condemned Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejads speech at the United Nations Thursday, in which Ahmadinejad blamed the United States for the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, calling it offensive and hateful.
Obama had sharp words Friday for Ahmadinejad. His statement about 9/11 was inexcusable, Obama said. And he took particular issue with the Iranian leader making it here in Manhattan, just a little north of ground zero, where families lost their loved ones, people of all faiths, all ethnicities who see this as the seminal tragedy of this generation.
To have a president who makes outrageous, offensive statements like this does not serve the interests of the Iranian people, does not strengthen Irans stature in the world community, Obama added.

Comments made were too close to Ground Zero? Sounds like a message to me.
